A Sit-down with T-Quest
A sit-down with T-Quest. An interview by Ty Hopkins
Ty Hopkins: T-Quest! Boss lady of Connecticut. Thanks for being here today at the paradise of hip hop. We’re happy to have you, but before we get started. How are you doing?
T-Quest: I am doing amazing, like every day of my life!
Ty Hopkins: Who is T-Quest for the people who don’t know you?
T-Quest: T-Quest is the ultimate Boss Lady. I’m one of the hardest working people you will ever meet with one of the biggest hearts. I work very hard and strive to help others to succeed as well.
Ty Hopkins: Being a femcee, how difficult is it to prove yourself as one, and what makes T-Quest different from the other female rappers out now.
T-Quest: I don’t believe it’s difficult at all. You’re either making quality songs, or you’re not, and you’re either putting in the proper work, or you’re not. What makes me different is the fact that my music is authentically ME. It’s always clean, and I don’t degrade myself nor anyone. I don’t follow trends. I SET THEM.
Ty Hopkins – Your company is called Glm. what does it stand for, and how long has it been established?
T-Quest: My company is actually called TQuestGLM LLC, and GLM (Gotta Love Me) is the slogan. It has many subdivisions under it. I’ve had my brand for over 10 years now.
Ty Hopkins: Every music scene is different depending on the city. Describe the music scene where you’re from?
T-Quest: I’m originally from Connecticut, and from what I remember, the Connecticut music scene is filled with a lot of great talent even though most will, unfortunately, remain local. From what I’ve seen, it seems as if they’re looking to be discovered without wanting to take the time to be properly seen.
Ty Hopkins: From my understanding, you do more than make music tell the world what else you do and what catches your interest more?
T-Quest: Music is just one of my many talents. I am a recording artist, voiceover actress (The Voice Goddess), a journalist for multiple magazines, a radio personality for many stations. I am the owner of my own radio station, “Gotta Love Me Radio.” I also own a Graphics business, “GLM Designs,” and so much more, which can all be found under my company TQuestGLM LLC. Being a boss, being loved, and respected catches my attention more.
Ty Hopkins: How difficult is it in the entertainment field these days?
T-Quest: It’s actually not difficult at all if you take the time to learn the business. It’s a major step that many people miss.
Ty Hopkins: any new projects/music you working on?
T-Quest: Yes, more music, books, and continuing to expand the brand and business. To stay plugged into my upcoming projects, follow me at (@TQuestGLM) to see when I drop all the exclusives.
Ty Hopkins: How would you describe the music that you make?
T- Quest: Fun, intense, creative, and needed.
Ty Hopkins: who are your life influences?
T Quest: My life influence is my fiancé. He motivates me, guides me, supports me and he has helped me to become a better woman, business lady and entertainer.
Ty Hopkins: How can people get in touch with you?
T-Quest: They can follow me on all social media platforms at @TQuestGLM. Download the T-Quest Mobile app in your Google Play store and your App store. They can always visit my website www.GottaLoveMeWorld.com
Ty Hopkins: any last words or requests you wanna let the people know?
